On the basis of the insurance conditions and articles of assocaiation, security depostits are refunded aftre the close of the financial year in which the insurance was terminated. The close of  the financial year takes place during the general members' meeting in which the annual  accounts for the year in question are adopted. The members' meeting is ussually held early in May. This means that the security deposits for insurance policies you have terminated in the course of this year will be refunded round May/June of next year. Another conditions for the refund is that Schepen Onderlinge Nederland has no more claims against you and that there are no more outstanding cases of damage which could give rise to another claim.

It happens regularly that shippers request a confirmation of insurance. In most cases, people request proof that you have made cargo liability insurance. We can send (fax) you such confirmation immediality, in German or English as well if desired.

The coupling of a barge alongside another vessel is allowed only if your ship suitably equipped to do so, and this is also indicated as such in the SI certificate.
Furthermore, taking a barge alongside must be reported to the company in advance, and  an additional premium will be charged for this. 

Payment of the premium in (monthly) instalments is always possible. If desired, we can prepare the premium invoice for the whole year, so that you can determine 12 instalments a year and transfer 1/12 of the annual premium per month. In special cases, it is always possible to make a payment arrangement in consultation. In that case, please contact us shortky after you receive the invoice. This will also prevent you from receiving payment reminders.

If you are going to sail past Mohacs, you must have to report that to us in advance. In general, you will be granted an extension of the sailing area witout additional premium. There is, in fact, only an obligation to report, so that we can gain insight into the number of ship movements on the Danube. This is  important, as the Mohacs is considered as a separate risk area because of its great distance from the Netherlands.
